If you are looking for the grand daddy of administrative assistant jobs, you have found it.  Finding an executive administrative assistant job is very challenging and is for highly self motivated people who love to take the bull by the horns.  Many people have heard of executive administrative assistant jobs because of people like P. Diddy and movies like “The Devil Wears Prada.”  These depictions of executive administrative assistants are not too far off, except that most executives are not quite as eccentric.

As you can see there are many responsibilities.  The requirements for most executive administrative assistants is that they have at least an associates degree in business administration.  Most employers also require 3-5 years of work experience related to executive administration.

How much do these jobs pay?  The truth of the matter is that it really depends on the executive and company you end up working for.  For most jobs in this field you will get paid $17-$30 dollars an hour including full benefits.  If you make the big time however and work for a celebrity or huge executive, you can fully expect to make a six figure income every year, not to mention excessive bonuses. 

Why on earth would some people want this type of job?  Surprisingly this type of job is extemely competitive and most people are willing to do whatever it takes to land one.  The main reason being is it is the best way to lean the inner workings of a large successfull company.  Many people want this experience to eventually become an executive or director of a large company.  Most companies hiring a CEO or executive want the candidate to have extensive training and experience.  Becoming an administrative assistant to an executive is the best training there is for those set on running a large company some day.
